About DragCalc
The most accurate free drag racing calculator on the web
What is DragCalc?
DragCalc is a physics-based drag racing calculator designed for enthusiasts who want accurate predictions of their quarter mile, eighth mile, and 60-foot times. Unlike simple calculators that use basic formulas, DragCalc simulates the entire drag strip run using real physics.
How It Works
Our simulation models the complete acceleration run, calculating forces at each moment: engine torque, drivetrain losses, tire grip, weight transfer, and aerodynamic drag. The calculator accounts for:
- Real tire grip curves for different compounds
- Weight transfer during launch and acceleration
- Gear ratios and shift times for popular transmissions
- Power delivery characteristics for turbo, NA, supercharged, and electric engines
- Density altitude effects on engine power
- Surface grip from wet streets to prepped drag strips
The Reverse Calculator
Don't know your horsepower? Use the reverse calculator. Enter your rolling time (60-130 mph or 100-200 km/h) and vehicle weight, and DragCalc will estimate your wheel horsepower and predict your drag strip performance.
Free Forever
DragCalc is completely free to use with no accounts, no ads, and no limitations. Built by car enthusiasts, for car enthusiasts.
